Happy New Year

January 1 2009

We made it !!!

There are 2 inches of snow on the ground and the sun is shining brightly, not a cloud in the sky.

What more could we ask for? Maybe a new beginning, a winning lottery ticket, a new start in life, peace in the world, economic stability, and all the things that make us happy. We toasted the New Year (both stayed awake) when the ball dropped on Times Square.

Theresa and I have had an excellent year. Life has been very stable and we are still getting to do all the things we had hoped to do when we retired. She gets to do her gardening, crafting, cooking, cardmaking, calendars,(pardon the alliteration) and I get to shoot pictures, watch baseball, football, horse racing and the stock market.

We are both looking forward to our Florida trip. Packing will begin shortly for our January 29 departure. There will be an overnight stop in Knoxville, TN with Cecilia, her sister, than another in Ocala, and by noon on the third day we will be on Captiva.

I found out yesterday our blog shows up on Google! Quite a surprise to me. Don't know how they do that but it is amazing how they pick it up. Making my selections now for Saturday night at the races, wish me luck.!!
